I'm just too damn busy to do this, but feel I should just for the writing exercise if I am ever going to get serious about ever writing anything worthwhile or meaningful before I die.

With the Cubs out of the way, life here can resume to normal. We've got a big weekend planned - mostly home improvement projects, though tonight we are going to a neighborhood "Oktoberfest" gathering. Beer and pumpkin pie mmmmm. We are also going to pick out our pumpkins on saturday. Hopefully, I won't have to work this weekend, though maybe I'll come in late sunday, or super-early on monday, which I did this week.

But the weather is good, and the house is shaping up. Michele says Sam, our oldest at 3, is starting to come down with a cold. Gavin - 2 months - slept 5 hours last night, which was his longest stretch so far.

I hestitate to mention work, since Big Brother is watching....

Again, just a test to see how these posts stack between days.

Tonight, Cubs, UPS, and ton of stuff to do. I have to decide what I want for dinner. the wife is trying to lose th final 5 pounds after birth, so I have to be careful what I eat in front of her. I'd like pizza, but that may not be possible.

This is my second post. I'm just throwing it up here to see how it looks in a longer format.

Today is tuesday and I'm a wee bit hungover. I drank four cold Special Exports while watching the Bears lose in their ugly new stadium. I looked after both the boys while my wife and mother went for an evening walk and they were really well behaved. I ate too much crap while watching the game - pretzels, cheese, smoked salmon and shrimp. Ugh.

It's after 4 and I'm thinking about heading home. I've had about enough of being a worker drone in Sector 7G for today.
Just a test on day 1.
